Anyone read this series? I’m about half way through the first book. I like it enough so far but not quite sure what the world is and the main character is an a-hole.
Without spoilers, does the series progress well?

I've read them all. The author seems to want Dante and Blays to be excessively snarky. If you can get past that, the books are good. I'm waiting on the last book in the Cycle of Galand (the next trilogy).

I got like 60 hours of audiobook with one credit, but I just couldn’t stick with it for more than 8 or so. The main character seems to bounce between snarky a-hole, dark anti-hero, and virtuous hero without seeming rhyme or reason. The magic and world building were alright, but I found I just didn’t care about the main characters.
