My problem with Malazan was I got towards the end of book 3 and had started to forget what happened at the beginning of it. It's also hard to know when a good stopping place is because breaks sometimes won't happen for 100 pages. I had to take a break after the third book.

I may still buy the book, though. I'm a fan of Neil Gaiman and he has an interesting looking story in there as well, plus some others. It looks like a good book overall.
Yeah, between Martin, Gaiman, Joe Abercrombie, Scott Lynch, Pat Rothfuss, and Daniel Abraham there are a lot of talented authors contributing to that book.

It appears that an unexpected return may be in the works for the Faceless Man known to viewers as Jaqen H’ghar.
According to the German agency of Tom Wlaschiha, the actor is shooting a 2014 episode of the crime solving series Tatort entitled, “Borowski und die armen Kinder von Gaarden, ” and after that, in August, he’ll begin filming on Game of Thrones. The agency notes that Tom is in the main cast. Given that the website updates their News sections regularly with 2014 projects, and that Wlaschiha has appeared in several notable productions since filming GoT in 2011 (with his appearance airing in 2012), it does look like Arya’s mentor is returning to the show next year

This is what I'm thinking. Jaqen meets The Slayer in oldtown as himself rather than the Pate BS to make it easier to see the connection with the FM in oldtown. Didn't even realize it was jaqen until I read this thread.
Could be Arya's trainer in Braavos though.

Yeah, good change.

Him being Pate could make sense too and perhaps he'll be the FM to kill Balon.

Would make perfect sense for show watchers.

More like fapcorn.
Loved that actor as Jaqen. Would be awesome if he's the one to interact with Arya in Braavos.

Really, it doesn't matter which Faceless Man is there to do that deed, just a Faceless Man does it. I honestly was disappointed that Jaqen didn't train Arya in the books.
Posted on 6/23/14 at 6:47 pm to OMLandshark
Yeah that was a bummer. I'm thinking if Jaqen trains Arya it'll be close to the awesomeness that was Arya and Tywin at Harrenhal.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind that change at all. I do hope they keep the skull scene with her eating the worm.
