I always thought it was interesting when he was telling Arya about the history of the faceless men. I don't know that it would explain why Valyria became such a toxic place where everyone who goes near it supposedly dies, unless it had to do with how the faceless men gave their gifts haha

I dunno. Contrary to perception, he really hasn't killed many POV characters, not counting the prologue and epilogue characters. He killed off Ned and then... who? Cat, but she came back. Nobody believes that Jon is dead. Quentyn, but he wasn't that important. Who am I missing?
Some will die, but not that many. I'll set the over/under at 3 for POV characters who die, not counting the prologue and epilogue unless they include characters who have previously been POV.

He kind of has to for the sake of the story though. You can't have 15 POV characters in the final novel. He needs to have roughly the same amount he did in the first novel.

Yeah, we currently have 20 Living POV chapters. That absolutely has to be cut in half (and quickly) in the next novel. No way can we have that many POV characters in the final novel. If I had to take a guess the POVs remaining in ADOS:
Jon
Arya
Sansa
Bran
Tyrion
Dany
Jaime
Arianne
Davos
Samwell
10 POVs, and that would be just about perfect.

That list sounds about right to me, and probably 3-4 of them would have 4-5 chapters each, tops.

He's been home for quite a while too. He had some business in LA around mid May but he's been home for the most part since he got back from his trip overseas

Victarion I think will die before reaching Westeros (probably in Mereen) and Cersei will almost certainly die in WoW. Her arc, like Theon's is wrapping up.
