I just finished reading the longest day and it has reinvigorated my interest in ww2 I'm looking for something that covers the axis invasion of Africa. Any recommendations on books about this theatre of the war?

offshore, how are the rest of the books from the Liberation Trilogy by Atkinson? I was thinking about just getting all three.

I agree with offshoreangler on the first two books. An Army at Dawn is terrific and goes into the African campaign in great detail.
I was eagerly awaiting the release of The Guns at Last Light, but was disappointed when I read it. Maybe the first two were so good that I set my expectations too high for the third book. I don't know. It was still a good book, just not as good as the first two.
