Anyone read some Bill Bryson books? Just listened to A Walk in the Woods, looking for others. He has some books that look interesting to me.
Anyone read any other Bryson books?

In a Sunburned Country is a good one, about his travels in Australia.

I have read a bunch of them. I especially like his humorous travel books such as “Neither Here Nor There “ and “Notes From a Small Island “.

I’ve read Walk in the Woods and Home.
Both were great reads but very different books. He is a really fun writer to read. Got a few more in the que to read soon.

Life and times of the thunderbolt kid is my favorite of his. Made in America was good and a third about small town America was good.

I thought his science books, A Short History of Nearly Everything and The Body, were average.

Bryson is great. I’ve read several of his books multiple times. For his travel books, I liked:
Lost Continent
Notes from a Small Island
Neither Here Nor There (Katz is in this one)
From a Sunburned Country
The later ones get a little shrill for my taste and lose some of his humor.
Non-travel:
Made in America and The Mother Tongue are amazing if you have any interest in the English language
One Summer is pretty solid
The Shakespeare one is pretty good
All of his books are worth reading if you’re a fan, but these are the best, in my opinion.

His audiobooks are my favorite. Would definitely recommend listening vs reading
