ASOIAF reading order?

Now that the GOT show is over, I want to read the books. Obviously I know the reading order for the main 5 novels. But I see there's quite a few other books that are prequels or tell the history of GRRM's world. So what would be the best order to read them in? Before or after reading the main 5 novels?

Just start with the main novels and go from there.

I'd read A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and then follow with the 5. Skip the rest.

I guess you could do this, but either way works. I enjoyed when I would recognize a place or name in the main novels or the Dunk and Egg tales from each other.
Also, I know people think they are money grabs, but I enjoyed all of his history pieces. You should definitely read those last. You will only enjoy them if you know the world GRRM has built.

None of them are finished
Dunk and Egg, not finished
Fire and Blood, not finished
A Song of Ice and Fire, not finished
However, at least the Dunk and Egg stories are self contained novellas.
All that being said I’ve thought about a re-read and think I will start with Fire and Blood, then the Dunk and Egg stories, then the main series.

To be fair, he did finish The World of Ice & Fire, which is essentially what Fire and Blood is but for the entire 7 kingdoms. It was just one book. Again, if someone likes the world he created, that person will enjoy it. It is a bit textbooky.

He had two co-writers, Elio Garcia and Linda Antonsson.
