Awesome book, so is Collapse.

OP if you want fiction try World War Z. They did a great job with the audio book and it's nothing like the movie.

FWIW and I realize no one cares but Guns Germs and Steel is ducking insulting shite. I don't even remember what I was so insulted by but it was a hunk of pseudo scientific bullshite

I feel like it isn't an accurate representation of how history has developed at all and refuses to take into effect some of the most important factors.

It's been a real time since I saw the documentary but they completely dismiss the importance culture plays in society
