Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer needed surgery this week after suffering a hand injury in the Sooner win over Auburn last Saturday.
On Thursday, Mateer sent a message on X, stating that he had undergone a "successful procedure" performed by Dr. Shin.
Mateer is expected to miss around a month while he recovers and rehabs from surgery.
