Steelers RB Holdout Le'Veon Bell Went Jet Skiing In Miami On Monday
Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports
While his Pittsburgh teammates hit the practice field on Monday after a loss to the Chiefs and a 0-1-1 start this season, Steelers holdout RB Le'Veon Bell was zippin' around Miami on a jet ski. Language NSFW...

Bell looks like he's holding out until he can get the money he wants from a team he wants to play for. I bet his teammates are done with him.

no character. Any player who holds out on his teammates has ZERO character.

Why? He feels like he deserves more so he's putting his money where his mouth is.

you sign it, you play it. If he had an awful year do you think he would accept Pittsburgh's offer to negotiate his contract for less money?

that's an expensive jet ski ride - he lost another $850,000 this weekend. Even if he lands another contract, even if it's for more money, he's quickly approaching the point where he'll come out behind overall, since he's forfeiting close to $1 million per week.

not losing it, will get it in the next contract and will take this year to stay healthy and rest his legs. Gotta remember DeMarco Murray let dallas run him crazy under the franchise tag and he went from best back in football to unknown and retired. Smart move by Bell.

"not losing it, will get it in the next contract"... but you have to do the math. He loses about $15 million if he sits out this entire year. His next contract would have to be $15 million MORE than what he'd get currently to break even, and that's not counting the time value of money. And, even though he's resting his body, he's still aging. Honestly, I don't think he'll break even.
