Johnny Manziel: 'I have to take this a lot more seriously.'
Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports
Year one is in the books for Browns rookie QB Johnny Manziel. On Tuesday, he did some reflecting to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer...
quote:

...he “still had the college mindset a little bit” when he came into the league and that he’s come to realize that he’ll need a different approach to succeed at this level.

“I have to take this a lot more seriously. It’s a job for me now,” Manziel said. “I’m not the Johnny Manziel that came in here a year ago. It’s been a year of growing up for me.”
Wow, took him en entire year to figure that out. You think he'll be the starter next year?

Even in the interview, he was obviously trolling Mary Kay Cabot.

My liver has won the Heisman and is All Pro.

He won't make it. Not because of age or attitude but ability. He was a good college QB. It doesn't always carry over to the next level. Bank the cash, hang on a bit then ride off in the sunset.

I think he just turned 22. I have no problem with his behavior or attitude entering the league. As for him staying in the league, I was never convinced he was going to be a success, and now I'm absolutely convinced he won't be.

I give him a break. We all have to grow up. He's having to do it in a fishbowl. As for him being a loser, have you ever won the Heisman?

What a loser. Was he not taking this seriously to begin with?
