It really is getting worse and worse for Johnny Manziel. On Saturday he father spoke out about his concerns and hopes for his son. Even calling him a "druggie". Per Adam Scheffer...
quote:

Paul Manziel, speaking about his son Johnny, to ESPN's Josina Anderson: "He's a druggie. It's not a secret that he's a druggie. I don't know what to say other than my son is a druggie and he needs help. He just hasn't seeked it yet. Hopefully he doesn't die before he comes to his senses. That's about all you can say. I don't know what else to say. I hate to say it but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him. So we'll see."
Per ESPN...
quote:

“I’m done. I’m done talking about it,” he said. “I’m doing my job, and I’m going to move on. If I have to bury him, I’ll bury him. That’s the fact. So if not, if he calls me and needs help, I’ll go get him. Until then, he’s on his own. I’ve done everything I can do. There is nothing [else] I can do as a father. Nothing. … It is what it is. Terrible situation all around, but when you go back and read the ESPN and SI stories from his college days about his home life and upbringing, how he turned out shouldn't come as any surprise whatsoever. Two parents who were more concerned about being his friend and not making him upset than they were about parenting. If my son threw a golf club in anger because he made a bad shot, I would lose it on him and tell him to act like a fricking man. Not dote upon what a "competitor" he is.

I feel bad for the dad. There really isn't much he can do at this point.

Tough love. It wasn't easy but Johnny made his dad a sympathetic figure. Seeing your child out of control has to be gut wrenching. Meanwhile, JFF's social media followers encourage the behavior. It's reaching Anna Nicole proportions.
