Odd tape job. Can't remember seeing one like that. Looks like he has on gloves, then some padding wrapped on the gloves with tape then wrapped around that from fingers to wrist.

linemen gloves like the g-tacks have lots of padding in them for the linemen. He probably has that on then everything taped.
