How Was The Ohio State Fan Who Ran Onto the Field Punished?

We all saw Ohio State fan and 21-year old student, Anthony Wunder, get taken down by strength and conditioning coach Anthony Schlegel on Saturday when he ran onto the field during the Buckeyes game against Northwestern. Well, his punishment isn't as entertaining as that. The school has decided to take away his full tuition and housing scholarship, removing him from the Evans Scholars Program for former golf caddies. He's also been was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespassing. That's a bit much, no?
