In case you missed it, here's how the Miami vs. Duke game ended on Saturday night...

If you watch closely there are a bunch of blown calls on that play including a player's knee being down, multiple blocks in the back and a Miami player running on the field in celebration before the ball crosses the goal line. The ACC has come down hard on the the officiating crew who did the game and suspended them all...

"Are there flags on the play?" "No but there's Duke Blue Devils LAID OUT"

"penalties shouldn't wipe plays like this off the board" Okay Upperdecker, I guess the officials should just say "fantastic fluke play to end the game, screw the half dozen penalties that Miami committed, game over." I'm not sure if I have ever read a dumber post than yours.

Only thing worse than those refs are those broadcasters.

If the knee was clearly down, then the ACC should give Duke the win.

what? are you serious Upperdecker? the fact they committed 2 blatant penalties is what should have cause the play to be overturned. when they occur in a game is immaterial. if you don't call the penalties as they happen, whats the point of calling any penalties in the 1st place?

Good for these refs. No sense in taking big plays off the board for stupid penalties like block in the back. If the knee was down, fine. But penalties shouldn't wipe plays like this off the board

Yet, even admitting that the game was over, and the call was wrong, Duke still gets a loss and Miami a win. slapping their hands with a 2 game suspension is pointless.

they deserve it - missing it in real time is understandable, as far as the knee being down. the block in the back and the player running on the field with no helmet before the TD is painfully obvious. the biggest issue is that for 9 minutes of replaying, not one person saw the obvious.
