Laquavius Cotton from Division II Delta State stole the show at the College Slam Dunk contest on Thursday night. Cotton beat out Wichita State's Tekele Cotton, Green Bay's Keifer Sykes and Arizona State's Shaq McKissic with dunks like this...

If those two dunks stole the show, then the show was pretty shitty. Good dunks yes, show stealers, no.

Great athletics, great baseball and football. Beautiful football field and a dunk champion with one of the worst names in the history of the country. Go Statesmen!

DSU pulls a decent amount of athletes from LA. Former football coach there is now at SELA. Wade trophy in womens's bball, is named for Margaret Wade who was coach at DSU back in the day before women's bball had divisions (early 70s). There's a good bit of sports history for that small school in the MS Delta...6 womens' bball, 1 football and 1 baseball national championships. Fear the Okra!
