The Harlem Globetrotters Are Trying To Get The NBA Let Them Join The League
© Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports
The Harlem Globetrotters want to become an NBA franchise. So much so, they have written a letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver and the NBA governors explaining why they are the right choice for an expansion team now...
quote:

“Based on what we’ve already proven, we can field a team of talent on par with the pros of today, and we want the chance to do that,” wrote the Globetrotters. “As a world renowned and legendary professional basketball team, we petition Commissioner Adam Silver, the NBA governors and the powers that be to grant The Original Harlem Globetrotters an NBA franchise. Not now, but right now!”
Terrible or bad idea?

Pretty sure they would have the NBA team and then another team that performs as per tradition with occasional guest appearances from the NBA stars.

Their clownish antics would fit right in. Too bad they act it on the court while the NBA does it off the court.

They're smart to push for it. Woke NBA might do it to avoid racism claims.
