BS. They are clocking pitches 3 feet from release point now. 12 years ago they were clocking pitches 6 feet in front of the plate. Just add 8.7 mph to every pitch clocked pre 2014 for a real comparison due to velocity lost over distance traveled.

4-5 mph. Definitely not 8.7. This dude is the best pitcher in the game rn and he's on a historic run.
