Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports
Not the best form, but he's Washington Nationals super slugger Bryce Harper deadlifting 505 pounds...

Pulling with a rounded back on each rep and like others pointed out he's using a hex bar. Given his size and degree of athleticism, that's actually mediocre.

Form was shite but still a good lift

Since he's not in a crossfit competition, those two things are mutually exclusive

Crossfit comp & crossfit practice aren't mutually exclusive though lol

Lol, he pays this guy to teach him THAT? Looks like what I'd expect a 15 year old in a garage to look like. Jeez Bryce, get a trainer that knows WTF he's doing.

Bad form with a hex bar. So 315 on a normal bar?

505 is 505 no matter what. Still have to move the weight. I've never used a hex bar so no idea what advantage they add aside from the neutral grip.

A good bit. It sets your center of gravity back. If you're competing 505 is 505. Who's he competing against? L4-L5?

You're right, it is still 500 lbs. A hex bar will just put more leg into the exercise, and a better starting position.

With a hex bar? Not impressive
