Their scholarship funds come out of Athletic Department "SELF GENERATED FUNDS". They do not cost LSU a penny. By Law LSU cannot use Academic funds from the State for Athletics. It is amazing how many do not understand this but instead bitch.

Lots of people are on academic scholarship and also getting paid by the university for working. Why should the athletes be any different. However, this new policy isn't even talking about schools paying players. It's allowing athletes to negotiate payment for their Image outside of their university.

Someone call the athletic department. Let them know lsutigermall is not a fan so they can remove it. I don't see a problem. What's the big deal if players can make money off of their likeness or image? I saw that a LSU gymnast who has over 4M tiktok followers will now be able to profit from her content. There are TV shows they don't get 4M viewers.. Anyone else with 4M viewers can profit from it.. But without NIL she would have to wait until she is no longer on scholarship. This is now a reality in college sports.. Might as well jump on it right away, let potential recruits know.. LSU supports NIL to the fullest Everyone else makes money off of college athletes so why is it a big deal if they are now able to make money off of themselves?
