The 2009 NFL Draft takes place this weekend at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The draft is scheduled to begin at 3pm CT today, with the first and second rounds taking place this afternoon. Rounds three through seven will take place tomorrow, starting at 10am CT. ESPN will televise the first two rounds, and both ESPN and ESPN2 will televise the Sunday portion.
Tyson Jackson is expected to be the first LSU Tiger picked, with draft experts now predicting that he could be taken by the Kansas City Chiefs at the No. 3 pick.
Other Tigers hoping to get drafted include:
Herman Johnson
Darry Beckwith
Quinn Johnson
Ricky Jean-Francois
Marlon Favorite
Brett Helms
Curtis Taylor
Kirston Pittman
Demetrius Byrd, who was injured in a car accident last Sunday in Miami and remains hospitalized, will most likely get picked up as a free agent. Byrd's condition was upgraded from critical to good on Friday, and he was moved out of the intensive care unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Click here for complete story.
