Mike The Tiger Gets His Mardi Gras Meal

Why do you think those eagles who are "free to leave anytime they want" (are these birds kept in an area that is not enclosed? They hang out in the trees around campus?) they don't leave because they know how good they have it there. If I'm not mistaken, the eagles are birds taken in by the raptor center after being shot, hit by vehicles, maimed, or having endured some other life threatening event, then they are trained by the people at the Auburn raptor center to "perform" at sporting events for food rewards. With your line of thinking about "sticking animals in cages", I'd say Auburn university isn't exactly following the whole "Born Free" way of thinking when it comes to their eagles. At least LSU's tiger is trained to perform at sporting events; he doesn't want to get in his mobile cage, he doesn't go, no food association gimmick to perform. And like those eagles, Mike will outlive his wild relatives by 10 years.

I think the number was zero

Mike doesn't live in a cage dummy. He lives in a 15,000 sqft Tiger Habitat that is rated as the nicest and most elaborate Tiger Habitat in the country. And Mike out lives a Tiger in the wild by 10 years. Those are the facts. But let's not let that get in the way of your narrative. Also, Mike is not forced to go to the games. That's why he may have gone to the stadium maybe one or two last year. Not sure what the final number was but it was very few.

I think Mike should get special treats on a regular basis.

IMO It should be mandatory that Mike be "served" his meals in the trailer that transports him into the stadium. Meal time should directly coincide with the time he would be loaded for a game appearance.

Just get him in the stadium on gameday.5 minutes would be nice. That should be their main concern this year.

I'm glad Auburn doesn't have a live tiger and stick him in a cage. Also please don't bring up the eagles. They're free to leave anytime they want.
