Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports
LSU defensive coordinator Blake Baker spoke with reporters on Thursday and was asked about star linebacker Harold Perkins.
Baker started off by saying the number one question he always gets asked is how they will use Perkins next season.
Baker explained that Perkins can be used in a variety of ways, but they need to get him starting at inside linebacker and really good at the position and then tap into his dynamic skillset of inside blitzing, edge rushing, playing in coverage, etc.

"That's always the number one question I get: How will you use Harold?" Baker said.
"You can use Harold in a variety of different ways. We have to start him somewhere and get him really good at that. But he's so explosive. He's got the ability to really turn the edge. We're going to find out what he does best and utilize his skill set."
"We want to find ways to get our best players to do what they do best and, hopefully, matchup-wise, do it against their worst player."
"He's a guy that we can use in a variety of ways, so we're not gonna just put him in one spot and say, 'This is what you're going to do.' He's a really good blitzer on the inside and really good in coverage. There is not much that he can't do, but we can't overload him."
"We have a lot of big plans for him, but we have to crawl before we walk."
