LSU head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media after the Tigers first Bowl practice on Tuesday and said that Arden Key is questionable for the Citrus Bowl and is not practicing.

Key has played with a variety of injuries this season and underwent surgery for a broken finger at the end of the season. If he ends up playing vs. the Irish in the Citrus Bowl it will likely be his last game as a Tiger as he is expected to the enter the NFL Draft after the game.

LSU and Notre Dame play Jan. 1 in Orlando, FL at noon CT on ABC.

Told everyone back in the summer this was going to happen, and got ripped for it. I call it the "Fournette factor." You can thank O for that, even though I support O he started this missing bowls bs.

While Arden Key has unceremoniously faded into the memory book of LSU football, he did serve as an example of how not to spend the off-season prior to your "money" year.

What a dud he’s been. It’s a finger. Wrap it up like a man before a soft reputation costs you nfl money

Not surprised, has been a disappointment all year. He was hurt, didn't know if he wanted to play football, etc. Will be interesting to see what kind of shape he's in for the combines. Teams certainly will question his work ethic and commitment.

There was never any doubt that Key would skip the bowl.

Has a great opportunity to show what he can do against some of the best O line talent (Notre Dame) in the country. Maybe he doesn't want his stock to drop even more. Who knows.

Never a doubt in my mind. His passion is less than desirable. Say what you want, this kid wasn't in shape early ONLY because he didn't feel like it.

I understand he doesn't want to risk further injury in the bowl game, however he has not had a very productive year. I'm sure the scouts will be sniffing around to see if he is truly focused on the next level

Seemed like Arden was really content on living off his two years at LSU. I have to agree that there are ways to protect that finger and show some heart for the Tigers. Just wanted more out him.

Just another example of today’s modern athletes. Knows he will be drafted high because of his athletic ability and high ceiling. Doesn’t want to risk further injury and miss out on his big payday. I understand, we’re talking about life changing money here. However, if you aren’t going to play, sit out and let someone else have a shot. This back and forth crap is getting old. I say thanks, and good luck in the NFL! Next!

Wow....you better believe the league offices are watching this one. Money talks and bullshite walks. Considering he doesn't qualify for senior exhibition games, this was his last audition. Talented? Hell yes! Heart? Not sure. Commitment? Not sure.

Different day in age for the sport of football. He will go first round and that second contract is what matters. He has an excuse to not play and he looks to be using it.

Give me players like Guice any day over divas like Arden Key. What a disappointment!

Wow....what a completely unproductive year he has had... No problem with him sitting out his junior year in anticipation of going pro, if that is what he chooses...however, I do have a problem with him occupying a scholarship that thousands of others would have given anything to have. That said, I'll assume good intent and just suffice to say that he seems fairly injury prone...

Now if I had taken the attitude of some of these gifted fellas, no employer in their right mind would have hired me. This is why pro athletes, some not all, live with the mentality that they are above the rules because no one holds them accountable. If I were these owners, I would not draft a single player who holds out or plays subpar in order to be draft ready. That logic makes no sense. Instead of being money driven, take advantage of the free EDUCATION the school has granted you and get a degree that you can fall back on. Look beyond the game like a Peyton Manning who earned his bachelors and Masters degree in four years. Thanks for nothing AK.

Well I mean it's not like he's getting a degree from the likes of Duke or Stanford. He owes LSU nothing.
