I was lucky enough to witness both Eric Martin in 1981 (I was 15) and Palmer last night (I'm now 54) in person. I was also sitting in the SE end zone last night with Palmer running right toward me. If you pause the video when Palmer hits the 50 yard line, #53 for SC (the guy that ends up diving for a tackle after it's too late) is 7 yards ahead at the 43 and Palmer outruns him to the corner.
