I am curious as to why the linemen are using the sumo stance as opposed to conventional. Then again I suppose it’s more suitable for football.

The stance has nothing to do with the sport. Different people have differently leverages, and that’s apparently what works for their hips, etc. It’s also great to train both stances. Anyone worth their salt does a little of both.

Easier when you are taller to use that stance. But when you are lifting 605 it doesn’t matter. You’re a beast ether way

Unfortunately football requires more than just being able to lift heavy weight!

Yet deadlifts is one of the best lifts that any athlete can do when trained properly. Thanks for stating the obvious
