Between Gilbert, Chase and Marshall, if Myles finds it and comes out guns blazing, we might be unstoppable again. And then you have Curry, TDP, and Emery?? What more do you want. If the line holds up, we're going to Miami in January.

These LSU practices are similar to my workouts, about 3-4 minutes long. I could have played D-1.

Curry looks like he's put in some serious work in the receiving department. I'm perfectly well aware that it's practice and no one is covering him, but he showed really soft hands in this clip, and looked extremely comfortable. You can see when guys don;t have confidence, they let the ball hit them in the chest and their heads are moving all over the place, and the result is either a bobble or a drop. If he adds that to his game along with the tremendous improvement he showed with his vision as a runner, down the stretch last year, he could be special. And we've still got three other backs who are poised to break out. It all comes down to Brennan. He's got all the tools and all the weapons around him. I think he'll step up.

QB talent looking solid

Agreed... that’s what stands out to me. QB talent is on a different level now a days. Our RBs are going to be very very good. Faulks coaching is either better or they take to him with a different attitude? I also have to say that those TEs are legit. This is the best group of TEs we’ve seen since the mid 90’s and early 2000’s. Only difference is that our entire roster seems to be a high level talent. I’ve been a supporter of Orgeron since taking over in 2016 but he’s blowing the doors off of my expectations. I figured at worst, a notch better than Miles and at best he would continuously nipping at the heals of Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Old USC types and beat some of these teams every so often but I sure didn’t expect that he would have us on par with them so quickly (roster wise) with a trajectory that surpasses them even (being how we just mopped up on almost everyone worth a damn last season). That’s quite amazing imo. And no I’m not saying he’s quite there yet after this (1) great season but if you graphed his LSU career, it’s headed straight up and hasn’t leveled out. With this group of young talented players, I’m not sure that it will? Of course after a championship, the only thing you can do is level out unless you include win record. I think he’ll surpass Miles and Saban’s win percentage fairly soon. If he can go 10-0 with some playoff wins this year or go 10-1 with a bowl win but (1) lose on the season, followed by two more (1) lose seasons or better? I’m pretty sure that would give him the nod as the best LSU HC percentage wise or altogether and would likely have at least (1) more championship added to his short tenure. I say that because if he can come away with a (1) lose season or better this year, then you would think that he could do it or surpass that the next (2) years. Brennan looks sharp already and if he comes back, good luck. Meanwhile his backup (Johnson) looks like a left handed version of Myles B. and Joey B. at least in practice settings, the young guy looks like a veteran out there. He would be in his second or third season, if Myles B. come back. The RBs will be veterans, WRs, TEs, OL, DL, LBs, and DBs. He’s going to have a stacked team in his 3rd season no matter what AND the recruiting is getting better every year!!! Remarkable turnaround!!! I Love It!!! GT!!!
