LSU running back Leonard Fournette posted this video on Twitter Tuesday of him working out in the gym and squatting 400+ pounds with ease.

Not to diminish this, but I squatted this amount in high school at 150 lbs. He should get used to holding the bar a little lower on his back which would lessen the stress on his neck and give him better balance.

At Pianoman...there is no way in hell you were squatting that amount at 150 lbs with the same ease as Fournette did. Stop trying to be an Internet badass.

I thought I read during the season that he can squat over 600 lbs. so it's not too surprising to see that he can do multiple reps with 400+ with ease. Still impressive though.

Nice. 400 lbs is probably a mid-workout for this cat. I'm sure he can do 1 rep max closer to 600 or more. But why as a RB? Unless you plan on being a power lifter, squatting much more than 400-500 lbs is just silly for the longevity of your knees.

Umm no. Powerlifting squats and squatting for athletic performance are totally separate things. His bar placement is fine. If anything he should be getting a little lower

Didn't say I did it with the same ease, and it was a max attempt with only one rep. But yes I did go down that low with the top of the thighs parallel to the floor. Spotters on each side, none in the back. Placed first in a local meet in my weight division. Some of you guys should get out and see a powerlifting event.....would shock you to see how much guys are squatting, deadlifting, and bench pressing out there in relation to their body weight.

Well as you may remember Nick Chubb (UGA) had season ending knee survey ....
Currently in rehab and doing Squats with 500 lbs.
