Add Ohio State's Urban Meyer to the list of college coaches that was asked this week about the coaching vacancy at LSU.

And according to Meyer, he has not been contacted by anyone at LSU.

There is no way to know for sure whether Meyer or his agent has been contacted, but he is obviously not going to talk about it if he has.

The question is do you think Meyer is a realistic candidate for the LSU job and would he leave Ohio State?

I don't care whether Urban Meyer or whoever is a candidate for LSU or not I want LSU's name out there. I want to have all the positive publicity LSU can get. LSU is being mentioned now in a positive light after years of being put in a negative light in the media about Miles and Cameron. I hope LSU being mentioned in regard to all these high profile coaches screws with their recruiting and I don't care if it puts doubt in 100 kids minds. LSU should milk this for all it is worth. The media will beat this to death with every high profile coach in the country and that is nothing but good for LSU.

LSU made Urban quit more than Saban did. In 2010 Urban was pointing 1st down Florida after LSU fake field goal, even though it was indisputable that the fake field goal was a lateral. Urban gave up when it was not 1st down Florida on that night in the Swamp vs LSU.

This is so dumb. No way he would leave his dream job to come coach here.

UM to LSU makes no sense for either party.

It doesn't make sense because he doesn't coach at UM.

completely agree. His 3 Natl Championship rings serve as evidence. Well said.

Even if he wanted to come here, he's not going to say anything at this point in the season. No coach will. People need to give it a rest until the season is over.

he would be stupid to leave OSU when he can dominate there instead of coming back to the SECW

Ego, a chance to play Alabama every year and beat them. And the fact that he would make more money, and recruit in a state where there is no immediate competition. Think about it, why did he take the OSU job?
