Former Georgia star and current Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley spoke with College Spun this week and said that he never received an offer back in High School from LSU, which is something the Tarboro, N.C. native always wanted.
quote:

“I kinda grew up a semi-LSU fan. I just kind of wanted that offer,” Gurley said when asked if there was a coach or program he would have liked to play for other than Georgia. “I at least just wanted the offer, even if I wasn’t going to go there.”
Gurley committed to Georgia as a four-star prospect in the class of 2012, choosing the Bulldogs over schools like Clemson, Auburn, South Carolina and others.

LSU signed four-star running back Jeremy Hill during that same recruiting cycle.

To everybody that say he wasn't coming to LSU, who's to say if we offered and recruited him hard and he took visits to Death Valley, you never know. But it is one hell of a thought RB's Todd Gurley and Jeremy Hill in the same backfield that would've been awesome and electrifying.

Why would LSU offer if they knew you weren't coming. F off Gurley.

The same reason LSU offer a ton of guys every year without any idea if they will show interest.

and what coach never offered him?

You can bash a lot of things about Les. Recruiting running backs is not one of those things.

May have been a casualty of Hill’s “legal” problems. Hill was committed in 2011 class, but didn’t sign until 2012.

We did just fine with Jeremy but Imagine Gurley and Hill in the same backfield! What could have been.

Which one would’ve been the fullback, all you idiots saying Hill and Gurley in the same backfield? Did you forget that Les Miles was the HC?
