Brian Kelly spoke on the SEC Coaches Teleconference Wednesday and talked about the loss to Florida State and looked ahead to the Grambling game on Saturday night.

Opening remarks:
"We're excited to be home in Tiger Stadium," Kelly said. "The team is looking forward to putting last week in the rearview. We need to play up to our level, an LSU level."

On Maason Smith's return:
Kelly says they need to be realistic with Smith's return vs. Grambling. They are hoping he can play around 30 snaps on Saturday.

On LSU's run game:
"We were in a position to be balanced most of the FSU game until the 4th quarter. We need to run the ball with more variety. And need to give our guys touches, not just the QB."

On the response at practice this week:
Says practice hasn't been the issue. "The preparation has been good, but performance vs. FSU was the issue. We need to perform at a higher level. No one was happy."

On Denver Harris:
Kelly says that CB Denver Harris "is available" but didn't provide any other details. Harris did not play vs. FSU.

If Kelly expects changes after FSU film review:
"It's always about evaluating all players and coaches. There wasn't one player that affected that loss. It was a collective loss, players and coaches. Could we see some new players out there this weekend? Absolutely."

They were just out of their league. Was like watching a HS team play a DII team. Very one sided

You can’t be this dense?
These stats are anything but one sided
First downs LSU 23 FSU 22
Total yards LSU 460 FSU 494
Avg per play LSU 7.2 FSU 7.5

Just think what the stats would have been if our players catch balls that hit their hands?
FSU won this game on 3rd and 4th down and in the red zone and won the turn over battle. The definitely didn’t dominate any other statistical category.

Laughing on the sideline by the starting QB while getting steamrolled is not someone who really cares what the team is doing

I'm holding my breath that Smith doesn't pull a Chase or Stingley on us and just shut it down and wait for the NFL.
