Interim LSU head coach Frank Wilson spoke on the SEC Coaches Teleconference on Wednesday and provided some injury updates.

Wilson said that Garrett Nussmeier is doubtful, but said Whit Weeks has a chance to play and wants to suit up.

The issue is managing Weeks' soreness after he pushes himself in practice:

"Whit wants to play. I think he has a chance to play," Wilson said. "It's been that way every week for him. What happens is that sometimes he gets extremely sore after practicing, after pushing himself."

"It's about our ability to manage it so that he could feel good about himself, be able to protect himself, and be very productive, as much as he can be."

Let him rest one more week. Don't make it worse.

This injury must’ve been way more serious than first reported. Wasn’t Tua back in two or three weeks after having a surgical high ankle sprain repaired several years ago?

I’d rather see him get one more week of rest.
