LSU interim offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger was paid $75,000 for his temporary promotion from tight ends coach when he took over after Cam Cameron was fired, according to The Advocate:
quote:

Ensminger, elevated from tight ends coach to coordinator after the firing of Cam Cameron on Sept. 25, worked under the terms of his original contract with the school as tight ends coach. He signed the memorandum of agreement on Sept. 25 agreeing to be paid an extra $75,000 for his duty as the program’s offensive leader.

Ensminger will be paid a daily rate of $833 if he remains LSU’s interim offensive coordinator beyond Dec. 15, the end of the “interim term” in the memorandum of agreement. LSU is in search of an offensive coordinator, and coach Ed Orgeron said Sunday that the program may not hire Ensminger’s replacement until after the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31. Ensminger will remain on staff in some capacity in the future, Orgeron said.
LSU Interim defensive line coach Pete Jenkins was paid $25,000 a month, and interim outside linebackers coach Dennis Johnson received $15,000 a month, according to The Advocate.

Weren't we the only team to be shut out by Alabama? Seems like $75,000 is a little steep for those results.

What a world we live in when people think $75,000 for a couple of months work is going cheap!

Keep all three and raise them. Ole man Jenkins did great work coming out of retirement and Ensminger isn't an OC but he did great stepping in like he did.

He deserves more $75,000. Coach O can thank Ensminger for the HQ job.

As usual, LSU went cheap when it came to paying an employee who went over and beyond the job he was called upon to do. Thank you Steve for doing an awesome job.

Over 50 points, over 600 yards of Offense and Steve did a great job.

It was half a seasons worth of work. 75k after having a few games setting offensive records seems like LSU went cheap.

So from the 15 to the 31 he'll make $13,328 if he keeps the interim OC title. That's pretty good for 16 days!

Hell. I'll take over for the bowl game! I could use a little Christmas cash!

"paid an extra $75,000" Anybody know what his original salary was? Keep in mind, this was just for 2 months work.

Cam needs to be put in jail for the money he made as OC.

LSU administration should be in jail for thinking Cam had that kind of worth.

Damn and Cam was paid a cool mill with far worse results.

$75,000 may have been the best bargain in college sports this year. Can't believe Cam got paid over a million!

No doubt. Cam had a sweet deal. Our next coordinator will get Aranda type money. As long as he produces, it doesn't matter to me. It's not coming out of my pocket.

It's 75k on top of his original contract, not just 75k total
