Brody Miller with The Athletic is reporting that LSU starting offensive guard Garrett Dellinger broke his hand and will miss the Auburn game on Saturday.

There is hope that Dellinger can return for the Tigers matchup vs. Tennessee the following week, according to Miller's tweet.

Dellinger started the past three games at left guard after moving from center. Replacements while he is out could include Anthony Bradford, Tre’Mond Shorts, or Xavier Hill.

Back in my day, we would strap on leather helmet and lose a few teeth.

Drunk night out I suppose. How else do you break your hand? Didn't hear anything after or during the game so this is the only thing I can think of. Been there.

Seriously?

Like, you didn't first consider it might have happened at practice, or hell maybe even a slip in the shower...

Nope. Your brain just immediately went to a bar fight as the only possible scenario.

Could have hurt it in the weight room or practice. So many places that make more sense than a bar fight LOL!!

I’m old..but back in the day they would just put a cast on your hand that was as big as a cantaloupe and you were good to go. And you had a convenient weapon.

Unfortunately those types of casts have been outlawed, no more having cinder blocks for arms.

Back in your day linemen weren't allowed to use their hands to grab the DL inside the shoulder pads. You're pretty ineffective with a cast on your hand

I would expect Miles Frazier to move over from RG to LG, and Anthony Bradford would likely get the start at RG. If not, Tre’mond Shorts is listed as LG2 on their Official Depth Chart.
