Multiple sources are reporting that LSU is closing in on a deal that will make Houston's Tom Herman the next head coach of the Tigers. Per ESPN:

LSU has zeroed in on Houston's Tom Herman as the Tigers' next head coach and could have a deal in place as early as Saturday, sources told ESPN.

USA Today Sports reported that Herman met with LSU officials in Houston Thursday afternoon.

Florida State's Jimbo Fisher was also near the top of LSU's wish list, but Fisher opted to stay put before talks with LSU got too far down the road. He has told some close to him that he thinks he could have some of his most talented teams at FSU over the next two years.

Check back for updates.

Texas and LSU are both in a very similar situation with very similar attributes that would draw a good coach to their respective school. I am very eager to see who is LSU's next coach. But I'm also interested to see who, between LSU and UT, gets the better coach if Charlie Strong is in fact fired.

A booster did not leak it. Alleva leaked it personally last year, and it backfired on him. This is not hard to confirm, find a certain member of the media and buy him a beer.

It's been leaked now that all along the leaks were coming from Houston

How is Alleva screwing anyone? He wanted to fire Miles last year. The booster leaked it. The fans revolted. Not his fault. Then he stood up to Sankey and Foley in regards to the Florida game this year. Finally, he is trying to hire a coach to lead us to another championship, if the media and their "sources" will stay out of it. How is he screwing us? Let the man do his job, please!

He bent over for Sankey and Foley. We gave up two home games (USA this year and FU next year) and only got one back.

So Gundy would be Miles 2.0?

Because Aranda is the only good DC in CFB, right?

Tell me about it. I'm tired of it. I don't care who it is, just get a good OC whoever it is and we can win 11 or 12 games next year.
