According to Shea Dixon, LSU defensive tackle Jacobian Guillory did not declare for the NFL Draft and will be returning for his senior season.

The veteran tackle has played in 39 games for LSU since signing with the Tigers as a four-star prospect out of Alexandria, La. (Alexandria Senior HS) in 2020.

Guillory appeared in 13 games this past season with one start and registered 27 tackles. With Mekhi Wingo and Maason Smith off to the NFL Draft, Guillory will likely be a key contributor to LSU's interior defensive line next season.

This is good news. He seems to have improved every year.

They hire Jake Olsen away from Mizzou too. Don’t know much other than he’s a Baker guy. I’m so fired up about this. It would be amazing to relive the Saban infrastructure years with a high flying offense, and mean hard nosed Defense!

Read today on another site, they are looking at another transfer from an SEC school possible a flip from 1 or 2 high-school kids that had signed NLI already, and 1 or 2 in the spring portal.

I'm interested in seeing whether LSU will move back towards more of a "Bear" 3-4 with a Guillory anchoring the more traditional NT position.

That would be interesting. If my memory is correct, House was more of a 3-4 guy but we didn't have the players to do it. What is Bakers base defense? Does he prefer 3 man or 4 man d line fronts? It is so hard to find a legit Nosetackle to run a 3 man front.

We very badly need him next year.

I’m at complete loss on Maas0n! I figure he left significant NIL money on the table for next year, without being able to gauge draft status. NIL and portal have really changed the dynamic of recruiting. Guess someone giving bad advise in this young man’s ear is still as popular as ever.
