LSU defensive end TK McLendon has entered the NCAA transfer portal, according to Matt Zenitz with AL.com.

McLendon signed with LSU's 2019 Recruiting class as a tight end from Copiah-Lincoln JUCO and moved to defense last season.

Back in March before Spring Practice was canceled, head coach Ed Orgeron said that McLendon was starting at defensive end and was being backed up by Jarell Cherry.

Are these guys staying in school? If so, are they still able to take advantage of the football facilities and its services?

First DE Farrell which was uderstandable. Then DE Thomas, DB Vincent jumped ship and then WR Ja'Marr Chase which was the right decision. What I don't get is DT Tyler Shelvin when this kid was not in LSU his weight just skyrocketed. Now it was reported he was over 370 lbs and now he'll be without the structure of LSU program. I wish all the ex Tigers good luck and success in their future.

It was not the correct decision by Chase. He could have made money on his name this year. He just so happens to be one of the nationally recognized WRs in the country. He could make lots of money simply playing a small role of decoy and catching a huge pass every once in a while. He could minimize any risk he feels he has, stay with the team, he a leader and help in many other ways. Opting out is quitting. He could actually make good money this year with the LSU jersey on. I don’t get it.

I wish him well but as an LSU fan I can't be worried about a guy who's never played to begin with.
