Football Scoop is reporting that LSU director of player personnel Austin Thomas is leaving the football program to be the new associate athletic director at Southern Cal. Thomas has been at LSU since 2013 and was recently named Director of Player Personnel of the year.

Thomas was recently selected Director of Player Personnel of the year by his peers. Thomas began working at USC in 2010 and was promoted to assistant director of recruiting / operations in 2012. In early 2013 he was offered a position as director of recruiting & player personnel at Bowling Green but shortly thereafter was offered the role at LSU which he accepted in April 2013.
