Former LSU offensive lineman Chidi Okeke is transferring to Eastern Kentucky University, according to JuCo Football Forer.

Okeke previously announced that he would be transferring back in early December.

Okeke first started playing football in 2013 after arriving in the states from Anambra, Nigeria and was rated a five-star prospect by 247Sports.

The 6-6, 312-pound prospect from Faith Baptist in Georgia redshirted during his freshman season to learn more about the game. He was listed as LSU's third-string left tackle this season but only played special teams.

I'm just glad they saved all that space using "4merly."

It's still a compliment to him that he came from a country knowing nothing about American football and had to learn a difficult position in a major conference.

He was so raw, being a five star was unrealistic, even if he is prototypical LT.

Couldn't hack it, for whatever reason. Star rankings aren't everything sometimes. Even still, no animosity towards Chidi. Good luck in your future endeavors.

A starting SEC tackle does not transfer to Eastern Kentucky unless he has issues with grades or crime I think he just currently lacks the fundamental skill set

The article says that he needs to learn more about the game, but is a 5* prospect? He has the size to compete at the position but is third string behind a couple of guys who really didn't show all that much last year at the left tackle position. I have questions regarding this guy and hate to see him go but understand why.

Very simple explanation: We didn't get who we wanted that recruiting cycle so we settled for this guy and made it sound like a win. It wasn't.

Could have really used him as our starting Left Tackle this upcoming season. Best of luck to you young man.

Prolly would have been a bad idea to start him at LT

Really? He was playing for LSU, not USL...
