Imagine how tough it would be for an offense to ALWAYS have to worry about the entire defense aggressively going after the ball at all times. The QB having to worry about ball security, the sack/strip, and having to throw over every single DLman with his hands up if they can't get to him. This could cause tips, and more INTs as well. So many little things this team didn't do consistently which would make a huge difference on a game or season.

I like it!! Need to teach them all how to focus on the ball at all times during a game as well. Offense, Defense and ST. Have to teach them that the ball is key to a football game, always be aware of how the offense is handling that ball and try to knock it out. Also need to teach the extra guy in coverage to be aware of the ball for interceptions. If everyone's is looking for the ball at all times this teams TOs will increase dramatically. Mathieu was one of the best because he had this instinct, imagine if they all played like that. If our WRs would work harder on fighting for jump balls in the air and back shoulder passes from QB to receiver, this offense would take a big leap forward. LSU was never very good in these areas. When guys tackle, always tackle the ball and the carrier at the same time, meaning throw a hand on the ball while wrapping up or hit the ball with your helmet, as you wrap him up. The DL needs to be taught the same techniques as well as having all down lineman to throw their hands up if you can't get to him and he's throwing. If they are all doing these things it will make the defense much more tough to drive on and cause many more TOs for the offense to take short fields.
