Orgeron Chimes In On Jacoby Stevens Move To Outside Linebacker

Sophomore safety Jacoby Stevens was working with the outside linebacker this week in practice but the move won't be permanent, according to head coach Ed Orgeron.

Stevens, who has moved from defense to offense and back to defense during his first two seasons at LSU, provides more personel options in Dave Aranda's defense.

Orgeron explained that Stevens versatility allows him to be an option at three positions on the defense, and also helps with depth at OLB now that K'Lavon Chaisson is out for the season.

has the frame already to be another deion jones at LB. Hope they can find him a spot. Have him be the speed guy while phillips and white be the thumbers.

This has the potential to set a trend in college football. Our defense is already outstanding, and this move could potentially give it yet another edge. Aranda makes use of every toy in his box.

Stevens and Chaisson have very similar builds and size. This could be a good career move for Stevens and after watching Aranda work magic with guys like Duke, Stevens should be pumped.
