Former LSU quarterback and eight-year NFL veteran Matt Flynn has agreed to a contract with the defending Super Bowl Campion New England Patriots Per ESPN:
quote:

The agreement came on the same day that the club released No. 3 quarterback Garrett Gilbert, a first-year player out of Southern Methodist.

Flynn, who turns 30 on June 20, assumes the No. 3 spot behind starter Tom Brady and second-year man Jimmy Garoppolo.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound Flynn will get a chance to compete with Garoppolo for the starting QB position while Brady serves his four game suspension for "deflate gate."

He was drafted in 2008 by Green Bay and has played for the Packers, Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and the Buffalo Bills.

Since when do they play two QBs? He's not starting unless Garrappollo gets hurt. Pretty much anyone with any sense knows this.

Wildcat, dint be a dunbass forever. Brady is suspended. They will use a backup for 4 games. He will absolutely play in those games and probably start in at least one.

"To get a banging dental practice going"

I think you have mistaken Flynn for Dr. Matt Mauck DDS.

He has IMHO one of the best QB jobs around. He's been getting very good money for a backup, but will retire without having had his brains scrambled or his knees shot to hell. And he'll have more than enough seed capital to get a banging dental practice going.

And the Seahawks are still paying him. I think aside from Shaq he is the highest paid LSU athlete ever.
