LSU linebacker TJ Dottery has wasted little time making an impact in Baton Rouge.

The Ole Miss transfer leads LSU with 14 tackles through the first two games of the season and has also forced two fumbles as part of a Tigers defense that has been dominant to start the year.

Dottery was especially impressive in LSU's 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech, finishing with nine tackles and two forced fumbles. He also earned a 95.1 defensive grade from Pro Football Focus, making him the highest-graded linebacker in college football through Week 2.

The veteran linebacker followed Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss to LSU this offseason after leading the SEC with 98 tackles in 2025.

Dottery will now return to Oxford on Saturday when LSU faces Ole Miss in a Top-10 SEC matchup.

Having a high powered offense is a lot of fun. But an elite defense just hits different. Dottery and Weeks are such a fun duo to watch.

I was thinking this during the LA tech game. It's FUN to watch a fast, hard hitting, disciplined defense. More fun than a good offense. Or maybe it's just been so long since I've seen one that I have recency bias.
