LSU junior wide receiver Justin Jefferson was named to the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award on Thursday.

The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to the top wide receiver in college football. Per LSUSports.net:

Last year, Jefferson led LSU outright in every receiving statistical category becoming the first Tiger to do since Rueben Randle in 2011. Jefferson was tops among all LSU receivers in receptions (54), receiving yards (875), touchdowns (6) and yards per catch (16.2).

Jefferson, a native of Destrehan, finished his sophomore campaign ranked among the Top 12 in the SEC in receiving yards (No. 6 with 875), yards per game (No. 8 at 67.3), receptions (No. 10 with 54), and yards per catch (No. 11 at 16.2).

I recently watched Burrow's highlights and Jefferson was huge. He made some great plays, and ran some beautiful routes. That young man is clutch.

It’s interesting to think this dude just snuck into the lineup without being a high profile recruit. He’s definitely got the skills and 2018 proved it. 2019 is looking bright with our stacked receiving group. Geaux Tigers.
