LSU junior wide receiver Jonathan Giles, a transfer from Texas Tech who will be eligible this season, was named to the Biletnikoff Award Watch List on Thursday. Per LSUSports.net:

The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to the top wide receiver in college football. Former LSU standout Josh Reed won the award in 2001.

Giles, a transfer from Texas Tech that will be eligible to compete this year after sitting out the 2017 season, was one of the top receivers in the country in 2016 as he led the Red Raiders in yards (1,158) and touchdowns (13). He caught 69 passes as a sophomore.

It’s the second time that Giles has been named to the Biletnikoff Award list as he earned a spot on the list in 2016.

So, we have a player named to the Biletnikoff watch list and every comment that is left is a negative one?....can we really find nothing positive at all to say about this? I, for one, hope he and one of our herd of talented quarterbacks syncs up and lights up the damn field with a passing attack.

His spring game stats were mundaine. And it’s not like a Greedy was locking him down every play.

I guess that’s just based on his performance last year. Anyone with 13 TDS is going to make that list
