He is a yankee.. Michigan man, Purdue,...Detroit Lions qb yadda, yadda. go figure.. and you are right..he is very subtle in his downplay of the tigers. Just watch, if the tigers do something great on a play, it wasn't their great play, it will be because bama gave it away or something.. Ole Vern is just glad to be in the booth calling the game, while little Gary seems to have a personal agenda..

Verne's best days are well behind him--those were when he was in Dallas, doing Cowboy games on the radio. He needs to do himself & everyone a favor by retiring. He has made enough money, and go on a good diet for his own health's sake!

Oh and before someone calls me out. Danielson does compliment LSU, but only when the game is out of reach does he start hanging on LSU's coat tail. You'll see what I'm talking about come Saturday.

I don't really care for Gary Danielson. Everytime he calls an LSU game he always talking negatively about LSU. It's not obvious or blatant, it really subtle. You really have to be listening to catch it. On questionable calls that are being reviewed, he always favors toward our opponent, even when it is obviously in favor of LSU he tries to swing it the other way. When LSU gets a lead, he always talking about how the opposing team can recover, never about how well LSU is playing. When LSU is behind, which isn't often, he talks about how the opposing team playing lights out. The only person I have ever seen him complement is LF7, and that was only when we played Auburn and LF7 was having his Heisman announcement game. When we play Bama, pay attention to what he says while he is calling the game. You'll see exactly what I'm talking about. Verne just calls the game for the most part. He cool.
