LSU Senior Safety Jalen Mills Suffers Ankle Injury

Multiple sources are reporting that starting LSU senior safety Jalen Mills suffered an ankle injury in Wednesday's morning practice and could miss up to 4-6 weeks. Per NOLA.com:
Kisa Mills, Jalen’s mother says that her son's injury will not require surgery. Per The Advocate:
quote:Mills has not missed a start since arriving at LSU and will most likely be replaced by junior Rickey Jefferson.
LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette confirmed that Mills was injured but would not specify the nature of the injury. Mills, a four-year starter and leader in the secondary, is expected to be out four to six weeks.
Kisa Mills, Jalen’s mother says that her son's injury will not require surgery. Per The Advocate:
quote:We will provide more updates on the injury as they become available.
A source said Mills will miss “at least” the first game or two. The extent of the injury isn’t known, but Kisa Mills, Jalen’s mother, said her son won’t need surgery and classified the injury as a “sprain.”
“He will be OK,” Kisa Mills said.
