Many LSU athletes took to social media on Sunday to react to the tragic news that struck Baton Rouge and left at least three officers dead and three wounded.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of those officers who lost their lives or were injured on Sunday.

To Desean, this guy wasn't a protester. This was just another mentally unstable individual with access to a firearm. Don't group this psycho in with the peaceful protesters.

These kids get it more than adults. We all are made in the image and likeness of God. Why do we see other people as different from us.

That's your opinion. Some don't believe in God. People should respect each other, God has nothing to do with it.

@TampaTiger22: You are right it has nothing to do with God but I would rather be wrong and believe in God and the Good Book and die and go to nothingness after my death. However, let's just say God is real... do you want to risk being wrong about that and spend eternity wishing you were wrong about God? Overall, the teachings of God/Jesus are at basis point where humans can be kind and just to each other.

@Gumbo1 Maybe you were asleep when all the innocent black men were in total compliance, and was still murdered by the police! And this is going on across the country. Not just in Baton Rouge! #AllLivesMatter! #DoTheRightThing!

I think I was asleep too. Can you give us a list of all these "innocent black men" that were murdered?

@1 Call: I was asleep a lot of those times probably because I was not up on the streets when I should be asleep. Stop generalizing. Blacks, whites, Latinos, Asians, middle eastern, etc. people are for the most part justified kills due to not abiding the law. Why don't you consider the fact that more blacks are killed by blacks. Although I do not agree with your opinion, I will defend your right to say so with my life. God Bless America! USAF

Why can't we be free men instead?

@TigersforEver What Jeter said is spot on. If you are approached by a cop, just do what he says, especially if you have a gun on you. I have a CCW permit. If I get pulled over by a cop, I put my hands on the steering wheel informing that I have a CCW permit and tell him where my gun(s) are. I ask for permission to remove my hands off the steering wheel and all is well. I have never had a bad experience when I follow the law.

DeSean has every right to be pissed off. His father is a cop and DeSean plans on following his footsteps.
