This result would be a disappointment. Expecting great things from WW and the Fightin' Tiger Basketball team.

Would've enjoyed seeing the expression on Emmitt Williams and Naz Reid's face when they were told that the SEC predicts them to finish 6th in the conference.

Admittedly I don't follow any other basketball teams in the NCAA let alone the SEC, but after last year's improvement, keeping Waters and having a top recruiting class in the -one-and-done- era, you'd think LSU would be ranked higher in the SEC. IIRC, LSU was a top 15 preseason team in some preseason rankings, but maybe that was just my imagination. It's gonna be fun to watch this team compete and make some serious noise, especially when an "underrated" team makes a strong push through the season and into the post-season (see LSU football).

exactly the way i called it for the top 6. lsu and fla duke it out for the 5-6 spots. the teams in front of lsu are more experienced. it's not a knock on lsu or wade. it's just how tough the league is. actually, given the makeup of the league, if lsu ends up 6th, that's a significant step forward from last season.

I'm not sure what y'all have a problem with here. #6 finish in what may be the best conference in America earns you a #8 seed in the NCAA tourney. Sure, I agree that LSU could be #4, but considering where we were picked last year, this is a vast improvement.

Prove the doubters wrong just like the football team is doing. Preseason rankings don't mean shite. They are just taking points for pundits.
