LSU junior center Andy Dodd announced Wednesday afternoon that he is transferring out of the program.

Dodd served as a backup center behind Ethan Pocic last season and played in six games including one start against Southern Miss.

The 6-4, 318-pounder from Lindale, Ga is expected to graduate from LSU in May and play somewhere else in 2017.

Congrats Andy on graduating, that's a huge accomplishment no one can ever take away from you. On another note, what are the chances he'll be snapping the ball to Brandon Harris at ULaLa next season?

First off, congrats on graduating Andy. You've opened a lot of doors for your future. Second, we are loaded along the o-line and probably a good move to go somewhere you can start and showcase your talents. Possibly draw the attention of some NFL scouts. I wish you all the best and thank you for bailing us out the last 3 years any time we had an injury or any reason. You were always ready to go! Forever a Tiger!

This tells me one thing. LSU's talent and depth on the OLINE is the reason he's leaving. I wish him luck, but it also makes me excited about the talent on that line next year.

Here's wishing him the best. He's been a faithful #2 Center behind Pocic for the last couple of years and it seemed like this would be his year to take over the starting position. However, it looks like Will Clapp has stepped in front of him, making the transition from guard to center and pushing Dodd back to the #2 spot again.
