Per LSUSports.net: COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- In the highest-scoring and longest game in NCAA FBS history, the seventh-ranked LSU Football team fell to No. 22 Texas A&M, 74-72, in seven overtimes on Saturday at Kyle Field.

LSU (9-3, 5-3 SEC) looked to have the game won in regulation, however, a video review nullified an interception and allowed Texas A&M (8-4, 5-3 SEC) to force overtime tied at 31-31 with a last-second touchdown.

Can someone explain to me how a call gets reviewed? Is it initiated by a coach or officials? We clearly don’t have the red challenge flag that makes it real clear. If we call (burn) a time out does that necessarily mean we’ll get a review. It’s just frustratingly fuzzy to me

Unbelievable how the SEC officiating kept A&M in this game. They are a complete joke.

I don’t consider this game a loss. Neither should the rest of the LSU community. There were several instances in that game when it should have been over with LSU clearly winning. The non-fourth down conversion. The illegal formation on the spike. The tight end fumbling during the first overtime.

Another moral victory right?

So I can agree that Mond’s knee was down on the interception. And by rule, as much as it sucks, the targeting was the right call. Whatever. But what I can not agree on is this: - clearly short on the 4th down conversion (no replay) - illegal formation on the spike at the end of regulation - false start on Williams not called - referee moving into a position to box out our defensive player on a big run play - pass interference on greedy for a ball that wasn’t even catchable - multiple holding calls. This is getting ridiculous. Something needs to be done.

Don't forget the completion then fumble in first OT which would have ended the game. No replay but obvious fumble. This shite was no accident.

It wasn't clear that he established possession while his knee was still down, so it was incorrect to reverse the call.

Only winnners blame them, because only winners can have a game stolen.

Perhaps the worst official listing in a major college game ever. While people dismiss Carville's SEC/Bama comments, this leaves no doubt of an anti-LSU bias. 11 can't beat 16.

I have wanted out of this chicken-shit, cheating, Bama run conference for years. I am sick of being told that calls like tonight are legit. We have reply and 3 times tonight replay wasn't used to prove LSU won the game. It is a cheating conference and LSU is stupid for going along with this shite.

Clear to me that the Southeastern Conference needs Alabama to win to maintain the cult following and Texas A&M to win for that populated market to be satisfied. It's not going to get any better.

Our players never gave up, the calls were what they were..... very happy to have joe burrow for another year... this game would have been over sooner without him.

You dumbass. LSU was cheated out of this win at least 3 times. Wake up. The SEC is a corrupt BAMA run organization and there is no way calls like tonight are innocent calls or mistakes. This was a rob job for money or sonething but to the SEC LSU is expendable and meaningless. I don't give a shite who we recruit LSU will be a punk school to the SEC. Look at how LSU has been treated in the Florida Hurricane situation. LSU lost a home game to play Florida but lost a home game and about 4.5 million to reschedule that UF game. Then had to play 2 straight in Florida. This game tonight was not legit. The SEC is a dirty league with a Bama 1st agenda. Anyone that tries to justify the cheating is naive.

Don’t let the zebra job distract you from the fact that Jonathan Giles lost us the game.

No he did not. LSU was up 31-24 when a 17 yard completion on 4th and 18 wasn't even questioned. Then there was a fumble in the 1st OT. It was a clear catch and fumble recovered by LSU but was ruled a incomllete pass. Not even reviewd. Not to mention the questionable call where the intercepgion in regulation was nUK llified by call that the ball was dead. It wss ridiculous. Just face facts. The SEC wanted A&M to win this game. That is the reality whether some of you believe it or not. LSU is a flunkie school to the SEC and is continually on the wrong side of these stupid calls. Back to Patrick Peterson having both feet in but Bama keeping the ball even after replay showed it an Interception. Some of you just don't want to admit how corrupt the SEC actually is. LSU is a punk school to the SEC and they continually treat LSU as a 2nd class citizen in the SEC. We are stupid for putting up with this crap.

On to better news I honestly if I’m O think about cutting ties with Giles.

user avatar
Yes actually. He gave them field position and momentum to make it what became a one score game. Instead of a one possession win, it’s a tie. Of course, both teams had ample opportunity to put it away. That doesn’t mean he didn’t put us in position to lose. frick McMediocre Giles, and I hope his scholarship is revoked.
